Purpose


This wiki has been created to provide a resource for teachers such that they can use Web 2.0 tools to teach a lesson based upon the North Carolina Standards for Biology in a New Schools Project Redesign 2.0 Classroom. The lesson is founded upon achieving learning outcomes using the Redesigned Schools Common Instructional Strategies such as collaborative group work, writing to learn, literacy groups, questioning, scaffolding, and classroom talk. North Carolina Standard Course of Study- Biology

This specific lesson focuses on the human population and its impact on local ecosystems and global environments (SCOS Biology- 5.03) .

Competency Goal 5: The learner will develop an understanding of the ecological relationships among organisms.
